Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition segments 5 different grades for trekking and climbing activity in Nepal as per the level of difficulties, altitude level and the duration of holiday. We hope this grading helps to choose your perfect holiday trip in Nepal.
Grade 1 – Easy Trekking
This grade is suitable for beginner trekkers, but of course, can be enjoyed by everyone. Generally, these types of trekking have short duration, scenic, low altitude level, easy and soft trekking trails. Accommodation during the trek is made in the Tea Houses which are easily accessible along the trekking routes.

Grade 2 – Easy to Moderate
The trek type starts from easy level and leads gradually up close to the mountains – generally up to viewpoints and base camps. These treks are also based on Tea House Trekking – on the way we can have easy access to numerous tea house lodges.

Grade 3 – Moderate & Adventure
Categorized as an extreme adventurous trekking, this grade demands previous experience in trekking. The trekking duration are generally long and technical that includes less beaten trekking trails. Generally, these trips don’t have tea houses at all places so we can either combine Tea House + Camping or full Camping Trek.

Grade 4 – Technical Adventure
We categorize Peak Climbing activities for technical adventure. Peak Climbing is comparatively more challenging than general trekking trips which require technical skills, climbing gears, previous experience and willingness to conquer. Generally, these trips don’t have tea houses at all places so we can either combine Tea House + Camping or full Camping Trek.

Grade 5 – Highly Challenging + Adventure
Grade 5 is simply more than trekking and peak climbing, which is for professional climbers or those who are experts in climbing activities. The Himalayan country Nepal offers many popular mountains in the earth for mountaineering and expedition experience. Submerging both Tea houses and Camping is necessary for such trips.
