Nepal is a country with a distinct identity in the world. She has unique natural, geographical, and socio-economical features. Nepal is simultaneously known as a country with unity in diversities. There is a great variation in ethnicity, culture, religion, language, geography, etc.
This small mountainous country is unique in all ways. It holds more than 1300 peaks including all the major mountains of Nepal. She has also more than 6000 rivers and rivulets along with lakes, natural fountains, Valleys, Basins, canyons, gorges, and pastures. In addition to that, she has ancient temples, palaces, forts, shrines, etc. All of them are so valuable and present excellent examples of wood and stone carving from Medieval Nepal.
This is a matter of pride for us ten of our national heritages (8 cultural heritages and 2 natural heritage) are listed on the World Heritage List by UNESCO.
