You can enjoy traditional Nepali dishes such as dal bhat (rice and lentils), momo (dumplings), soups, noodles, and local tea or coffee. Trekkers need to bring high energy snacks which include nuts, chocolate and energy bars for those sections of the trail that have limited access to food.

Trekkers need to obtain a Langtang National Park Entry Permit which serves as their only means to enter protected areas so they can start their hike. The protected zone of Langtang National Park safeguards its diverse wildlife, beautiful natural scenery and the historical traditions of its native inhabitants.

The permit is typically obtained in Kathmandu or at entry points such as Dhunche or Syabrubesi, and the trekkers must keep it with them during the entire trek because officials will inspect it at multiple points throughout the journey.

The current trekking system in Nepal has established formal regulations whereas trekkers must now use official trekking agencies to hire local guides who possess the necessary licenses to guide them through Langtang region routes.

The rule was established to promote safety in areas that experience extreme weather conditions and to create job opportunities for local communities.

All trekkers must have their permits throughout the trek. The best practice is to keep the document handy through proper photocopying and digital backup methods. Following these regulations, you will experience an easy travel experience while helping protect the environment and the Langtang region communities will achieve sustainable development.
