Everest Base Camp Helicopter Cost and Itinerary:

EBC Helicopter Tour Itinerary begins with a short early morning scenic flight to Lukla. Lukla is the gateway of the whole Everest region. From Lukla, we will gradually start our journey to the Sherpa Kingdom: Namche Bazaar. After spending a full day rest for acclimatization and excursion at Namche Bazaar, we shall continue our trek passing through Tyangboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep respectively.

En route, we explore several Buddhist monasteries, charming villages, high alpine valleys, frozen waterfalls, and mind-blowing views of Himalayan ranges. Then, we will take a hike to Everest Base Camp (5,380m) and experience some of the marvelous moments. The next day, early in the morning, we will hike to Kalapatthar – the best viewpoint in the world.

The reflection of the maturing sun over the snow-capped mountains provides the most alluring experience and pleasure of heaven.  Then, we will head back to Gorakshep, have breakfast, and fly back to Kathmandu with a helicopter flight. During the flight, we can have splendid views of entire Nepalese mountains, landscapes, and villages in a different way. This is definitely a dream destination for thrill-seekers and adventure lovers.

Not everyone has the time to finish the extended and exhausting trek. Some trekkers even don’t have the physical Capacity to complete the trek route.   • Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu [1345m/4411ft] and transfer to Hotel.

    Our representatives will be there at the Tribhuvan International Airport to receive you. You will be greeted and received warmly and then they will lead you towards the hotel. They will also help you with your check-in at the hotel. Either you can stay at the hotel for refreshment or you can visit our office for important information about the trip. In the evening we will welcome you formally with a welcome dinner.

  • Day 02: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla [2800m/9184ft] & Trek to Phakding [2640m/8659ft][45m fly & 4 Hrs Trek]

    After having breakfast at the hotel, we will move towards Tribhuvan International Airport for an early morning flight to Lukla. Lukla is the gateway to Khumbu and entire Everest Region. After landing at Lukla, we will follow the trail that is gradual uphill trekking through the left bank of Dudh Koshi River. We will pass along many Mani walls before we arrive at Ghat. From here, we will have both uphill and downhill trekking experiences towards Phakding.

  • Day 03: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar [3440m/11283ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]

    Leaving Phakding we will cross a small stream and start ascending until you reach Bengar. From here to we have both uphill and downhill climbing. We will stop at the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park for registration. After paying the entry fee, we will make a steady climb towards Namche Bazaar- the Sherpa Capital. The trail continues along the riverbed to the confluence of Bhote Koshi and Dudh Koshi rivers. Then we will climb steadily for about three hours and come across Namche Bazaar. We will spend one day at Namche Bazaar for exploration and acclimatization.

  • Day 04: A day for rest at Namche Bazaar - for acclimatization.

    We will take a rest day at Namche. Namche is a prosperous village situated in the high alpine region. In fact, it is a day to adjust our body to the high altitude. For the same, we have to hike high and sleep low. That means we have to hike to a higher altitude and return to a lower elevation for sleeping. For acclimatization, we will take a day trip to Namche Bazaar. Here we will climb about 300m to the town of Khumjung. We will also visit the local monasteries and schools. We can also walk towards Thami (3,810m) over the amazing Bhote Khola River Valley.

  • Day 05: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche [3867m/12683ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]

    After spending a full day at Namche Bazaar, we will continue moving toward Tyangboche. We will have a moderate trekking experience with an easy walk. We will descend down the Khumjung Community and move on the major trail to Everest. The trail brings us to the Mongla pass at an altitude of 3,975m.  Moving forward the trail offers us an awesome view of some adorable mountains and finally to the biggest and largest monastery of the region, Tyangboche. From here we can see the gigantic peaks Amadablam, Mount Everest, Kantega etc.

  • Day 06: Trek from Tyangboche to Dingboche [4260m/13972ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]

    On the sixth day, we will move through the lush alpine forest. We will slightly walk down through the forest at Debuche. We will come across several small villages on the way. Here we will have a great opportunity to see the mountain life. Passing through Imja Khola, the trail heads towards Pangboche from where we can see Ama Dablam. Then, ascending towards the ridgeline, we will be awe stricken by the surrounding landscape. The trail towards Dingboche offers us a jaw-dropping view of Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Cholaste and many others.

  • Day 07: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche [4930m/16170ft] [5-6 Hrs Trek]

    Leaving Dingboche we will climb to a white Chorten on the top of the ridge behind Dingboche. From there we will descend to cross a small river that flows from the end of Khumbu Glacier. We will climb the lateral moraine on the north side of the glacier on a well-defined trail and pass through a series of stone memorials for climbers who died around the surrounding peak expedition attempts. We will cross over a bridge and continue to trek to reach often crowded tea houses of Lobuche.

  • Day 08: Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep [5180m/16990ft] then trek to Everest Base Camp [5380m/17646ft] and back to Gorakshep [7-8 Hrs Trek]

    It’s a long but rewarding day. We will climb up the valley following the rocky moraine path. We shall have an opportunity to view icy glacial ponds and icebergs down below of the Khumbu glacier. After the last rocky moraine dunes, a short downhill walk brings us to Gorakshep, the flat field below Kalapatthar (5,545m) and Mt. Pumori (7,145m). Gorakshep is the location of the original Everest Base Camp with the new camp being further up the valley. Now the trail winds through a rocky path and the Khumbu glacier towards Everest Base Camp. After spending a great moment, we retrace our steps back passing through the Khumbu glacier towards Gorakshep.

  • Day 09: Morning Hike to KalaPatthar [5545m/18187ft] for tantalizing sunrise view over Mt. Everest & Back to Gorakshep. After Breakfast, fly back to Kathmandu [2 hrs flight]

    We will accomplish an early morning hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m). Leaving the tea houses of Gorakshep we will climb north by north-east to a prayer flag covered rocky summit of Kalapatthar. It is one of the highest viewpoints on earth from where we can enjoy the magnificent sunrise view over Mt. Everest (8,848m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516m), Mt. Makalu (8,481m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m) and other surrounding peaks. After spending quality time at Kalapatthar we descend back to Gorakshep. After breakfast, we will take a scenic helicopter flight from Gorakshep back to Kathmandu. The helicopter flight offers an eagle-eye view over the breathtaking valleys and up-close views of surrounding high peaks which truly is an experience of a lifetime.

  • Day 10: Leisure day in Kathmandu

    This is completely a leisure day. We can cash this day visiting the busy markets of Kathmandu or the remaining Heritage Sites you couldn’t approach on the second day. In the morning we can visit Pashupatinath Temple.  Rest of the day we can stroll around the street of Kathmandu. You can buy some souvenirs in the course of visiting. In the evening you will sit together with us in the farewell dinner organised by Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition for celebrating the completion of the trek successfully.

  • Day 11: Transfer to International Airport for Departure

    Now it is the time for farewell. Our representatives of Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition will drop you at the International Airport as per your flight schedule. You need to get into the airport 3 hours prior to your flight. On broad, you have plenty of good memories of Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour to cherish.
