After breakfast, you will leave Kathmandu on a tourist bus following the Prithivi Highway, you will follow the driving route alongside the soaring and pristine Marsyangdhi and Trishuli Rivers till Mugling.

    The charming route with enchanting rhododendron and oak forests will lead you toward the small village of Dovan, moving further ahead in your trekking route after crossing a waterfall and a few steep segments, you will finally arrive at the Himalaya Hotel. The trail up ahead unfolds the picturesque views of the surrounding landscapes blending well with the soaring Modi River.

    From here, you will follow the steep trail as you make your way toward the Hinku Cave from where you can clear view of the Deurali. You will trek along the ascending trail for about 45 minutes from here which will finally take you to the Deurali Village.

During the first part of this day’s trekking adventure, you will follow the gentle ascending route heading toward Bagar. From here you will proceed along the strenuous steep climbing segments that will lead you toward the Machhapuchhare Base Camp.

    After relishing the Himalayan ambiance and enjoying the incredible views of snow-clad peaks like Annapurna I, II, Gangapurna, Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, and several other adjacent peaks from the Machhapuchhare Base Camp, you will follow another about 1 hour of trekking route that will lead you toward the Annapurna Base Camp.

You will retrace your steps back to the same trekking trails you walked on during your ascend to the Annapurna Base Camp. But first, you will enjoy the incredible sunrise view that peaks amidst the Himalayan peaks and reflects on its white snow.

    Following the section accompanied by the Modi River in the relatively downhill march you will pass the area prone to avalanches. You will then pass the charming settlements of Dovan and Deurali as you follow the trail amidst the rhododendron and bamboo forest heading toward the lower elevation. After about an hour of trekking from here, you will finally re-enter the Jhinu Danda and dip in the natural spring to relax your weary body.

As for the drinking water, although tap water is available throughout the region, it is not safe to drink. You can buy bottled mineral water from the teahouses along the trekking route, however at the higher altitudes they can be costly with the price range of US$ 4 to US$ 5.
