What are the Permits Needed For the Trek? 

Manaslu Circuit Trek Permit Requirements

Manaslu Circuit Trekking falls into the restricted area and specific permits are required to trek in this region. The trekkers should obtain the Manaslu Restricted Area Permit which should be processed by the registered trekking agency. 

The cost of permits differs with the season. The restricted area permit costs US$100 per person during the autumn season (September to November) for 1 week and a further US$ 15 from the 8th day onwards. Likewise, during winter, spring and monsoon/ summer (December to August), the permit costs US$75 for the first seven days and an additional US$10 from the 8th day. 

In addition, trekkers also require the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit and Manaslu Conservation Area Permit. The cost of both permits is US$ 22 for each.  The permit fund helps in conservation projects, promotion of eco-tourism, trail maintenance and development of the infrastructure of the trekking region.

Annapurna Circuit Trek passes through the Annapurna Conservation Area,  and you will need to obtain an Annapurna Conservation Area Permit. You will be in several high-altitude destinations with Shya (3350m), Samagaun (3530m), Samdo (3860m), and Larkya Phedi (4460m), being some notable ones.
